Born and raised in Chicago, I gratefully relocated to Southwest Colorado eleven years ago. The San Juan Mountains captured my heart; they have become home and have been a tremendous learning ground for quality adventure. I am passionate about skiing, climbing, and kayaking. Luckily, I have had opportunities to climb many classic ice-routes in the San Juans and to practice climbing skills in the ice-park, because I live in Ouray during the Winter. Skiing for me is super fun at Silverton,Telluride, and the surrounding area.
In the Spring and Summer I indulge in kayaking awesome rivers and rock climbing; there is great diversity of exploration in these mountains and in the desert beyond. Telluride is my Summer local, where I teach paddling to people of all ages. My favorite kind of travel is expedition kayaking in a remote canyon, in an exotic country, with good friends. Graduating from Fort Lewis College with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies of Education and a Spanish minor, is one of my prized accomplishments.
